Implant-Associated Giant Cell Granuloma: A Case Report of 4.8-Year Follow-up and Literature Review.

Objective. The aim of this case report was to document a implant associated central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) and review the literature on intrabony lesions. CGCG is most common in females usually seen mandible from anterior posterior. Based its clinical, radiological, histological findings, it can be classified as aggressive non-aggressive forms. Trauma considered major etiological factor for lesion. Even peripheral has been shown peri-implant lesion, not reported an implant-associated pathology. In report, we that developed after placement 8 months. 39-year-old female patient with partial edentulism posterior presented our clinic. She had she lost her teeth more than six years. Initial clinical radiological examination revealed showed localized slight moderate chronic periodontitis, horizontal ridge deficiency (in mandible), cavities. A total implants were placed at same time. At 8-month surgery, radiolucency area #34 area. lesion enucleated, defect filled up xenogeneic bone substitute. healing uneventful. determined CGCG. no recurrency 4.8
